World Premiere: DS8000 Storage Systems

The b&b group successfully staged the global premiere of IBM’s new DS8000 Storage System at the Darmstadtium Science and Congress Center. As part of the two-day IBM Storage Strategy Days 2024, this hybrid event dramatically unveiled the tenth-generation storage system with an impressive multimedia presentation.
The highlight of the evening featured a captivating reveal sequence, where the new product emerged vertically and then horizontally from deep within the stage directly into the spotlight. This synchronized world premiere took place simultaneously in New York and Darmstadt, with Darmstadtium serving as the backdrop for the global livestream.
The IBM Storage Strategy Days 2024 represent the premier event in the DACH region for data management, storage systems, cyber resiliency, and artificial intelligence. Participants gained valuable insights and strategies to optimize their storage infrastructures for current and future challenges.
The b&b group was commissioned by Paul Events GmbH from Holzgerlingen. Through close collaboration, a dynamic event concept was developed, with b&b providing comprehensive technical support, including stage and lighting design as well as media content creation and production.
